RushCamp! 2020
“Keep It Burning Bright”
Overtime Angels, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is pleased to announce the 4thannual RushCamp! Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30th 2020.
RushCamp! 2020 admission is limited to 250 people. (Is this true for 2020?)
Cinderella Man Mike Rosenthal was inspired by the generosity, humanity and philanthropy shown by Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson & Neil Peart throughout the years. While seeing Rush in cities across America, Mike saw that folks are basically decent and can sometimes find themselves between the wheels. What started out with collecting a few dollars before shows to help those in need, became something much larger.
While experiencing personal challenges, Mike Rosenthal had the idea to form a charitable organization that would reach more people. An organization where big money got soul! Mike reached out to his friends, Jim Brunke and Lance Kasten and spoke to them about his idea. In 2014, they incorporated Overtime Angels and a new 501(c)(3) charitable organization was formed. He knew that given the same state of integrity, it will surely serve us well.
They gathered from across the land RatCon came into existence in 2009 for those that loved the music and philosophy of Rush, to gather annually on the East Coast of the U.S. (usually at the home of Lance Kasten) for friendship, food and fun times. (and plenty of Rush music!!)
I can’t stop thinking big The guys were thrilled to see how many Rush fans wanted to celebrate the band with them at RatCon. This led to thoughts of a larger bowl, so Jim Brunke proposed the idea of RushCamp! To Mike and Lance. Now that Overtime Angels was an established charity, they could help more folks in need if they took their event across the mountainside, to the scenic Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. It took a lot of planning, dedication, hours and assistance but in 2017, RushCamp! came into existence.
